A traditional laser cutting order goes like this: you draw the part, email the file, wait for a quote — often a day or two — and only then find out the price. At LeikePaja, the entire process happens in your browser, and the price appears the moment you draw.
Let's walk through the whole journey from start to finish: from drawing to a finished order. We'll also look at the Library feature, where you can find ready-made parts without drawing anything yourself.
The CadOnline tool opens directly in your browser at leikepaja.fi/cadonline.html — no installs, no account, no downloads. The drawing tools are in the top toolbar: line, circle, arc, dimension, and fillet.
Dimensions are entered directly as numbers while you draw — click the start point, type the length, press Tab, and type the angle. No need to guess pixel-perfect precision.
If you already have a DXF file from another program, you can import it directly with the "Import DXF" button instead of drawing.
Once the part is ready, press "Add Part". Choose the material (steel, stainless, aluminum, or Hardox), thickness, and quantity — the price updates in real time after every change.
The price includes material, cutting work, and the setup cost. You'll also see right away if the part's size or hole dimensions don't work for laser cutting — the tool checks the geometry automatically before ordering.
Why this is different: In a typical process, the price only becomes clear once a workshop has gone through the file by hand. Here you see the total before making any commitment — you can try different thicknesses and materials and watch the price change.
The part is added to your cart, where you can combine several different parts into one order — even different materials and thicknesses. Shipping is calculated for the whole order together: small, light parts ship as a parcel, while heavier or multi-part orders automatically switch to pallet freight.
No upfront payment on an uncertain order: Because the workshop checks the drawing before charging, you never pay in advance for something that turns out not to be technically feasible.
If you'd rather not draw anything from scratch, the Library feature offers pre-designed parts you can order as-is or adjust to your own dimensions. The Library is available from the CadOnline toolbar.
When you pick a part from the Library, it opens on the canvas exactly as if you'd drawn it yourself — you can change dimensions, add holes, or remove sections before ordering. The Library isn't meant to limit you, just to speed things up: common shapes (excavator bucket ears or shim plates, for example) don't need to be drawn from zero.
The Library is the fastest route to an order when you need a common, standard part and don't want to spend time drawing. If the part is unusual or a one-off, drawing from scratch is still the more flexible option.
Ordering never requires an account — you can draw, see the price, and order completely without logging in. My Account is a free add-on for two purposes:
An account is created from the 👤 My Account button in the CadOnline sidebar. Registration only needs a name, email, and password — no separate verification step.
Security: Your account only shows your own designs and orders — the system is built so that no one else, not even another logged-in customer, can see anyone else's data.
